Guji Korma Washed
Guji Korma Washed
Korma, derived from the Amharic language meaning Bull, signifies strength and resilience, embodying the spirit of the Ethiopian people.
In the Guji region, where coffee and cattle farming intersect, Korma serves as a fitting emblem. The region of Guji is unique in that most coffee growers are also cattle farmers. At Kal Coffee, we've launched the Guji Korma Project in collaboration with our suppliers, dedicated to curating the finest washed processed lots that embody the quintessential Guji flavor profile we seek. Each batch undergoes meticulous quality control checks with our partners at origin and in our lab to guarantee they meet our exacting standards.
The average elevation of the farms in this region is very high between 2200-2400 m.a.s.l. Combined with the region’s cool temperatures makes it ideal for the slow ripening of coffee cherries, leading to denser beans and a sweeter, more complex cup profile.
